Francoeur swinging a hot bat as Nationals come to town
April 21, 2008

Atlanta, Ga. – Jeff Francoeur and the Atlanta Braves look to continue their hot streak as the NL East-rival Washington Nationals visit Turner Field Monday night in Atlanta. Francoeur's .353 (6-for-17) batting average in the last four games has boosted the Braves during their current four-game winning streak. The Braves have only allowed three runs in those four games.

During a sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend in Atlanta, Francoeur hit two doubles and drove in two runs. Francoeur currently ranks fourth among National League outfielders in doubles with six on the season, and fourth in RBI with 14.

Francoeur and the Braves are set to host the Nationals for a two-game series beginning tonight at 7:00 pm EDT. Atlanta then welcomes the Florida Marlins to town for another two-game series beginning Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
